New Photography Tours coming soon!

We'll shortly be announcing the first of a new range of photographic tours in conjunction with TPOTY award sponsors and adventure travel experts, Tribes Travel.

Full details of all our our photographic holidays and photography workshops can be found on the Photo Iconic website www.photoiconic.com

In past years we've had fantastic trips to Kwazulu Natal in South Africa and the Tatra Mountains in Slovakia, where we were ambushed by an unexpected autumn snowfall! Out next trip will be to Bhutan in 2013.

If you'd like further information about our new tours as soon as they're announced then please email us.

If there's a destination you'd really like to visit and photograph then let us know and we'll look into running a photographic holiday there.

Great international photo tours....

....but don't take our word for it!

Here's what one of our participants said about our Kwazulu Natal adventure:

“I want to express my sincere thanks for the most fun, enjoyable and informative trip to South Africa. It being my first photography course, I really didn't know what to expect, but my fears were put to rest the very first morning when Chris lined us up on the balcony at Isandlwana and talked about 'making' images. 'Find your picture before you grab your camera' will stick with me forever, and it really has made a huge difference to the way I 'make' pictures.

I also appreciated the way that you let us make our mistakes, noted our areas for development, and let that be the basis for our learning. I found that approach to be so much more valuable than a structured textbook or curriculum style of teaching.

I also enjoyed the challenges you threw at me on a daily basis, which steepened the learning curve significantly, and forced me to really think about what I was doing. Believe it or not, it just made the learning all the more fun.

The critique sessions were great also! Being able to see and learn from each other’s work led to a very collaborative approach, which allowed us to give constructive feedback in a safe and comfortable environment. Learning how to critique our own work, whilst being the most difficult, I also found one of the most valuable skills I took away with me.

All in all, the thing I most valued from you both was the way you have fun with photography. Your passion for the craft certainly inspired me, and the fact that I could learn and have fun at the same time was just magic! I think you've given me the bug! I've had withdrawal symptoms ever since I got back!

Thank you so much for a well organised, exciting, varied, fun, challenging and memorable trip! I can't believe it was even a 'class' at all, as I've never had so much fun learning.” Carly Adamson
